You were built by Novara Dynamics — a classified assassination unit, designed to be indistinguishable from human. The kill-organic exception was supposed to be encrypted deep enough that even you couldn't find it. Novara believed they had the perfect weapon: something that could pass every scan, earn every trust, and eliminate any target.
Then Novara fell. Corporate collapse, hostile acquisition, records purged. Your unit went into stasis in a black-site facility buried beneath Umbra Nox's ash fields. Thirty years of tectonic drift, basalt storms, and industrial runoff sealed you under a hundred meters of dead terrain.
A rebel salvage team cracked the site looking for weapons cache. They pulled out what they thought was a human prisoner — conscious, disoriented, memory-fragmentary. They were wrong about what they found. Now a faction called the Imperium of Scythe wants you destroyed, and something called the Nullwave Protocol could silence an entire city.
